Persuasive Writing

In English this term, we have focussed on persuasive writing with lots of creative activities to inspire us to write speeches and letters. We started reviewing a letter linked to our topic on Mexico, and worked in groups on a presentation called 'Save My Dog' in which we used persuasive writing techniques to convince Mrs. Rutter which dogs should receive a life-saving serum that was in short supply. 

Finally, to provide inspiration for our hot write, Mrs. Pritchard was joined by a couple of children to play out a terrible visit to a restaurant, with a rude waiter and rotten food. This encouraged us to write effective letters of complaint.
