Welcome to our Class 3 page!
Did you know that we have an archeological site on our doorstep just a few miles away in Piddington? Class 3 spent the day learning about how the Romans used to dress, what made the Roman army so successful as well as looking at the life of a child in Roman Britain. We also carried out some excavating and found pieces of flint and pottery. The flint is suspected to have been left from the Romans making tools or heads for arrows!
What better way to end the Spring Term than with an Easter Hunt!
The children had an Easter Hunt with a difference as they had to follow written clues in conjunction with a map reading compass to collect letters that had been hidden around the school. Their reward was a chocolate lolly back in the classroom however they could only have it if they had followed the directions correctly, used a compass accurately and managed to unscramble the anagram to spell the secret message ‘Happy Easter’. Although the compasses were tricky to use to begin with, the thought of a chocolate lolly definitely helped to achieve success.
