Class 1
Welcome to our Class 1 page!
Our Café
The children have worked so hard preparing for our café to showcase what we have learnt so far in our topic ‘Farm to Fork’. The children wrote invitations to invite their grown-ups to our café and made lots of decorations too. They helped to make carrot cake and enjoyed serving their grown-ups in the café. After they had eaten and discussed where the ingredients came from, the children took their guests on a tour of the classroom. We finished by performing our story of ‘The Little Red Hen’. Well done Class 1!

Hungry Hens!
Class One had some very hungry visitors today! Mrs Freeman brought in her two chickens from home. They were placed into our outdoor area for the children to view and feed. The children fed them corn by sprinkling it into their area. The hens were very greedy!
The children thought about eggs and where they come from. They discussed their favourite way to eat them. The most common answer was "dippy egg and soldiers!"
Unfortunately, the hens did not lay any eggs while they were with us but Mrs Freeman will keep us updated now they are safely back home!
