To celebrate World Poetry Day, all the children in school learnt to recite a poem which we then performed in a special assembly at the end of the day. It was lovely to see the children performing in front of an audience and appreciating each other’s performances.
Class 1 performed the poem, ‘The Wind on the Hill’ by A A Milne.
Class 2 recited the poem, ‘Scissors’ by Allan Ahlberg.
Class 3 performed ‘Topsy Turvy World’ by William Brighty Rand.
Class 4 performed ‘If’ by Rudyard Kipling.
A great way to start the week!
